Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the University of Birmingham High Fliers Undergraduate Scholarships, students must meet several requirements. They must be living in and considered a resident of one of the eligible countries: Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Morocco, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, or the UAE. Additionally, candidates must have already received an offer from the University of Birmingham and have chosen it as their firm choice for a full-time undergraduate program starting in September 2026. The student must be entering the first year of their undergraduate studies at the Birmingham UK campus.
Further eligibility conditions include meeting the academic requirements of their offered program. Students must also be classified by the University as an overseas fee payer and be able to cover any remaining tuition fees not covered by the scholarship. Sufficient funds for living costs in Birmingham, along with visa and travel expenses, are also necessary. The scholarship award cannot be deferred to a later academic year. Students must begin their studies in September 2026.
Application Process
The application process for the University of Birmingham High Fliers Undergraduate Scholarships requires students to have already accepted an offer from Birmingham and made it their firm choice. They must also be in contact with one of the university’s listed agent partners or local representatives before the application deadline. The deadline for submitting scholarship applications through these representatives is May 30, 2026.
Selection for this scholarship is primarily based on academic merit. In rare cases, if the University cannot decide on an awardee based solely on academic achievement, such as when two candidates have identical grades, applicants may be invited to an online interview. Students applying for the MBChB Medicine and Surgery or BDS Dental Surgery programs are not eligible for this scholarship.
