Before her untimely passing, Krystle Kabare was working as a Social Policy Specialist at Development Pathways in Kenya. She was passionate about improving the lives of the most vulnerable members of society, with a strong interest in promoting the rights of persons with disabilities.<\/p>\n
As a celebration of Krystle\u2019s life, Development Pathways is awarding a Scholarship to a prospective Master\u2019s degree student, for a two-year course, within the fields of Public Health, Anthropology, Economics, Sociology, Social Statistics, or any other relevant field.<\/p>\n
The Development Pathways Krystle Kabare Scholarship programme offers an annual academic Scholarship to a Kenyan graduate student with disabilities, at the University of Nairobi, in memory of the late Krystle Kabare. See below for more information.<\/p>\n
Krystle Kabare, born in 1987. She excelled in her studies at both the Aga Khan Primary school and the Mt. Kenya Academy and was awarded a scholarship at Rabun Gab Nacoochee in Atlanta, Georgia (USA) for her high school education.<\/p>\n

She went on to attain a degree in Sociology and Anthropology from Agnes Scott College in the USA before rounding out her academic achievements with a Master of Science in Peace and Development Studies in Sweden.<\/p>\n In her career, she worked for HelpAge International and later at Development Pathways Kenya, where she developed a passion for human rights and development while working as a Social Policy Specialist.<\/p>\n She had a keen interest in helping persons living with disabilities and it is this interest that is the inspiration for the Krystle Kabare Scholarship.<\/p>\nApply<\/a><\/h2>\n
